The film was featured on the cover of the January 1961 issue of Model Railway News:

This is from the editorial for that issue by Roy Dock: "Our cover picture this month is
connected with an unusual tale.  Some years ago, in the July of 1955 to be exact, two V2s were
seconded for special working on Sundays over a number of weeks.  Hauling short trains of 10-ton
steel wagons they would work the incline on the goods branch connecting with the main between
Copenhagen and Gas Works outside Kings Cross.  Amid excessive air pollution - deliberate and
the reason will become obvious - the purpose of the operations was executed; dead bodies were
dropped into the empty wagons.  These nefarious deeds were enacted with the full approval of
the railway.  The events described were in connection with the making of the film 'The Lady
Killers' and Philip J Kelley recorded several scenes during the production.  From one
photograph came the idea for the cover painting by Richard Southgate.  We know, we know - the
working is enough to give a signalman a blight of bell code boogie."

I've featured Joe Peralta's idiosyncratic bike-ride reports before, but it's been a while since
there was anything new from him.  However, here is a new report of his ride across Washington
state from Ellensburg, near the Columbia River, to Seattle using the Milwaukee Road and the
Seattle Lake Shore & Eastern grades.  I'm pleased to say it's up to his usual excellent
standard, and makes you want to saddle up and follow in his tracks!
